SO WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?

There are three types of results:

1. At the coal face on race day from the computer, straight after the last rider comes in.

2. The FULL results uploaded to your web site with Historical information, recent placings by rider, and pictures of the riders so that members can easily get to know one another and break the ice.

3. Simple results in elegant format to be sent to your distribution service such as Google Groups, or your bulk email list.  This one is for a points race, and this one is for a Graded scratch.

RESULTS ON THE DAY - STRAIGHT AFTER THE LAST RIDER COMES IN

But first!  Register the rider numbers in the "Rider No", column, and print the sheet which will also sort the riders into grade and start time order as follows:
Enter riders number
If the rider does not have a number, then select the rider from the "Name" drop down, or type in their name.  A number will be created greater than 699 which you can then overtype to your own number series.

Display riders picture
If you click on a rider number and they have a picture in the folder "Riders" (IE C:\Program Files\RMS\Riders) which is directly under the current spreadsheet location, their picture will be displayed for visual recognition.
Enter finish chute numbers
Enter the riders numbers in the "Finish Chute" column which is also the order that they completed the race in.  Disregard the rider number column, as the rider will be moved appropriately.  The active cell will once again display the riders picture if it exists.  DNF appears in the "Finish Order" column until their is a number in the finish chute column.  So if a rider has not finished they will remain "DNF".
Ready to produce results
All riders have been entered, and two did not finish "DNF".  Now click on "Results".  Or enter finish times.  Finish times will be required for the full results.
Results without Times
Results with No finish times.  Placings are shown at right in bold.  Click "re-enter" to add or change information.
Results with Times
Finish time entry is very fast.  Either click "Add 1 Finish Time" as each rider crosses the line remembering to disregard "Rider No" column, then enter the chute numbers.
Or enter the finish time in short hand such as 12345 for 1:23:45, then enter 46 for the next rider which will give them a time of 1:23:46.  Or 401 which will then give a time of 1:24:01.
Now click results.  If the internet is connected the following will be displayed:
Publish to Internet?
You will need to purchase the FULL version to publish the results as described.  However you still have a completed spreadsheet in results format which can be sent to your members or your web master.
